After seeking bank for money, we pass a few hopefuls including Thai, Italian, Indian, and Mexican joints.

But with the least expensive prices, yummy drinks, and the promise of a descent Cuban sandwich we settled on: Cubana Cafe in Carroll Gardens

The perks:
  • Inexpensive food
  • Fabulous Cuban Sandwiches
  • Delicious drinks ($6-7), quite yummy, we barely tasted the alcohol
    • Daquiri
    • Pina Colada
  • Extraordinary Desserts, $3.50 each
    • Tres leches
    • Flan
The pitfalls:
  • Unfriendly, Spanish-correcting waitstaff (as a pretentious 21-year-old, I don't go to a restaurant to feel like I have a lousy Spanish accent)
  • B Health Rating, but who knows if those things are for real anyways
  • The quesadilla was actually a taco with cheese
