After seeking bank for money, we pass a few hopefuls including Thai, Italian, Indian, and Mexican joints.
But with the least expensive prices, yummy drinks, and the promise of a descent Cuban sandwich we settled on: Cubana Cafe in Carroll Gardens
The perks:
- Inexpensive food
- Fabulous Cuban Sandwiches
- Delicious drinks ($6-7), quite yummy, we barely tasted the alcohol
- Daquiri
- Pina Colada
- Extraordinary Desserts, $3.50 each
- Tres leches
- Flan
The pitfalls:
- Unfriendly, Spanish-correcting waitstaff (as a pretentious 21-year-old, I don't go to a restaurant to feel like I have a lousy Spanish accent)
- B Health Rating, but who knows if those things are for real anyways
- The quesadilla was actually a taco with cheese
